Memory Training: Four-Week Program
If you are over age 50, have trouble remembering names, dates and other information, but are otherwise in good mental and physical health, then our four-week Memory Training course is for you. This program is based on research conducted by Gary Small, MD, author of "The Memory Bible."
By devoting just two hours per week for four weeks, you will have fun while improving your memory at the same time. We have numerous classes scheduled throughout metro Phoenix, and we are adding new ones regularly. Don't miss this special opportunity to acquire strategies to improve your memory. The course is not intended for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment or related dementias.

Memory Screening Events
Memory loss can affect anyone. Sometimes it's just difficulty remembering where you put your car keys or recalling someone's name. However, memory impairment can also be a warning sign of a serious health problem. That's why Banner Alzheimer's Institute offers free memory screening events throughout the community.
Memory screening isn't a diagnostic tool; however, it can indicate whether a person should seek a more comprehensive exam. Individuals whose scores suggest a need for further testing will be referred to their physician for follow-up care. Attendees will receive a free memory screening consisting of a 15-minute non-invasive exam and consultation with an experienced professional. Information about improving brain health also is provided.
Since 2006, Banner Alzheimer's Institute has conducted more than 1,500 memory screenings at community events. The free screenings require reservations.
